Americans know about the Netherlands, it’s got a reputation. This is mainly because of the Anne Frank House. Anne Frank was a little girl who wrote a diary about Nazi occupation. The house where she hid is in Amsterdam. Many Americans travel to Amsterdam to visit this house as part of their Holocaust .
The Netherlands are actually pretty great for Americans in terms of visiting ease. Everything is in English, including the signs at the train stations and customer service. The people are friendly, and even though there is a lot of prostitution and drug use, the city of Amsterdam is pretty safe.
